Why was Andy created?
When we bought our new facility at the end of May, 2006, it needed a lot of work to become the building that it is today.  In order to get his kids excited about coming to the building to check its progress, owner, Jeremy Hamilton, gave them an office. One of his sons (age 7 at the time) said that when he grew up, he wanted to build robots and work with his dad (what dad wouldn’t be proud to hear that?).  Asked what would he call his own company, his son answered “Robot Valley”. 

A catchy name.... and Andy and the rest of Robot Valley was born.

Andy and the BIG picture:
Andy was created to do more than just be a mascot for a machine shop.  Being a mascot is just Andy’s day job while he builds his career as a child advocate.

Children throughout the world are being neglected, abused, and hurt in ways that are difficult to understand.  Many kids don’t even have clean clothes or a place to call home.  It’s happening in many different countries as well as in our own neighborhoods. 

The main reason that Andy is being created is to provide enjoyment to all children, especially those needing it the most.  Plans for Andy are to appear on shirts, hats, posters, as a toy, in books, etc. – anything that can provide happiness for a child.
